Clear Cut Love Letter

The medium of film has the unique ability to tell the story of a place, as well as to tell the story of its characters. Clear Cut Love is set in the heart of Tillamook State Forest, the largest contiguous rainforest in the lower forty-eight states and home of the Tillamook People. It is a story with unforgettable characters, an engaging and often hilarious script, a ravishing forest backdrop layered with history, and a message that is timely and heartfelt.

Clear Cut Love is the story of a woman’s passion to protect a forest that she has grown to love, and her encounter with a logic-driven reporter whose sole purpose is to get the story and return to civilization as soon as humanly possible.

Liza and Stephen come from parallel universes. Hers … encamped within the branches of a giant Douglas Fir. His is the concrete rainforest of journalism, where trees are useful for creating paper and convenient for recording his perspective on the world.

These are two very different people, but with chemistry reminiscent of Hepburn and Tracey.

One thing stands between Stephen Kavanaugh and his long-awaited promotion: a 260-foot Douglas Fir and the woman who lives within its branches.

Just as there is one thing between Stephen and success, there is one thing that will turn Tanner Givnan’s brilliant screenplay into an equally brilliant film: visionary investors with the opportunity to create a film that is topical, witty and timely, and who know a good investment when they see one. This is an opportunity with significant potential return on investment. Other films in this genre, produced within modest budgets, have grossed in the range of forty to sixty million dollars. With strategic product placement and backing by forward-thinking investors, Clear Cut Love has the potential to meet and exceed these figures.

Clear Cut Love has all of the elements of a smash-hit: smart and appealing characters, romance and comedy, plot twists, an unsurpassed scenic backdrop, and dramatic tension between those who want to exploit the environment and those who want to protect it.
